Shillong: Meghalaya loans from NABARD, NCDC at Rs 524 cr
Meghalaya's loan amount from both national and foreign institutions stands at Rs 523.87 crore at the end of 2021-22.
Replying to a question on the floor of the House on Day 3 of the budget session of Meghalaya on Wednesday, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the state took loan from NABARD to the tune of Rs 136.24 crore in 2019-20, Rs 173.29 crore in 2020-21 and Rs 170 crore in 2021-22.
The NABARD loans have a tenure of seven years with a two-year moratorium.
From the National Cooperative Development Corporation, the state government took a loan of Rs 44.34 crore in 2020-21. The loan is for a period of eight years with a year's moratorium.
Among the other starred questions in the Assembly were road infrastructure and the state roads' load capacities in different places, the National Games and introduction of school buses.
