MDP Participants Expect Betterment, Seek Roadmap For Success Under NEHHDC

Guwahati: In an inspiring initiative aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs in Assam, the North East Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation (NEHHDC) organized a Management Development Programme (MDP) at their office in Bamunimaidan, starting on November 11, 2024. The program focuses on equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship effectively.
 
Among the attendees, Nayanmani Baruah, a passionate textile designer, expressed optimism about the opportunities for growth that the MDP brings. "This participation will give me a lot to learn. As new trends and technologies emerge every day, such training will undoubtedly help us learn what is necessary to enhance my business," Nayanmani Baruah said. 

Nayanmani’s enthusiasm reflects a growing recognition of the importance of continuous learning in the ever-evolving market landscape. Sangita Bhattacharjee, a skill developer and fellow participant, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing her expectation to uncover a strategic roadmap for her entrepreneurial journey. Her interest illustrates the collective aspiration among participants to gain insights that can guide their businesses towards sustainability and success.

NEHHDC advisor Sriparna Baruah highlighted the program's objectives. "This initiative is specifically designed for women entrepreneurs who wish to gain valuable knowledge from us. It serves as a handholding support system, where participants will learn how to manage their businesses more effectively," Sriparna Baruah stated. This emphasis on mentorship underscores the importance of creating supportive networks for women entrepreneurs.

The MDP covers a comprehensive range of topics vital for building a successful enterprise, including reflections on entrepreneurship, organizational management tailored for MSMEs, strategies for sustainable growth, enhancing personal effectiveness, crafting business plans, and developing distribution and go-to-market strategies. Notably, Walmart Vridhi will also be addressed, providing insights into market competitiveness.
 
The program’s structure is thoughtfully designed, with sessions scheduled daily from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, focusing on critical areas that will drive the participants' success. Specifically, on November 13th, the agenda will shift towards building a roadmap for success, equipping participants with the strategies they need to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape. The subsequent day, November 14th, will center on competitive and profitable pricing strategies, enabling participants to position their offerings effectively. Finally, on November 15th, the focus will turn to essential financial skills and navigating bank loans, crucial knowledge for securing the funding needed for growth.
 
Overall, the MDP represents a significant step towards empowering women entrepreneurs in Assam, equipping them with the insights and tools necessary to thrive in a competitive business.
