Kirloskar Oil Engines net profit rises 7 pc to Rs 117 crore in Apr-Jun

New Delhi: Kirloskar Oil Engines reported a 7 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 117 crore in the three months ending June compared to the previous year. The company based in Pune stated that the standalone post-tax profit was Rs 109 crore during the April-June period of FY24.

The company reported that net sales in the quarter reached Rs 1,334 crore, showing a 6 per cent growth from the Rs 1,256 crore achieved in Q1FY25. The company reported an EBITDA of Rs 174 crore for the recent quarter, up from Rs 162 crore in the June quarter of FY 24. EBITDA margin for Q1 FY 25 saw a slight increase to 12.9 per cent from 12.8 per cent in Q1 FY 24.

The company reported that as of the June quarter, cash and cash equivalents totaled Rs 410 crore, with net debt taking into account treasury investments and excluding unclaimed dividends.

This year has begun well for KOEL standalone, as we achieved our highest ever Q1 numbers. The 6 per cent increase in revenue is based on a high starting point due to pre-buying in Q1 FY24. According to Gauri Kirloskar, the Managing Director of Kirloskar Oil Engines, the B2B sector experienced a 5 pc annual growth while the B2C sector saw a 14 pc annual growth.

She mentioned that the company's exports increased by 15 per cent year-on-year to Rs 112 crores for the quarter, and stated that they are cautiously optimistic about the upcoming quarter due to the full implementation of CPCB IV+ emission norms and the market's response to these products in different segments.
