In a significant step towards strengthening community infrastructure, nearly 100 temples, Namghars, clubs, and libraries from both New and Old Jalukbari areas under the Jalukbari Legislative Assembly Constituency received financial support today for development and renovation work.

The funds were formally handed over by Hemanta Choudhury, Special Duty Officer to the Chief Minister.

Speaking on the occasion, Choudhury encouraged all recipient institutions to utilise the grants with full transparency and accountability. He emphasised the importance of maintaining ethical standards in executing development work. The event was also attended by Pranjit Deka, Personal Assistant to the Chief Minister, Suwalkuchi Zilla Parishad member Dhiraj Mahanta, and Kalichanda Sen, retired senior planning officer of Kamrup district.
