Itanagar: The chairman of Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Limited (HPDCAPL) Toko Onuj, has called on Jal Urja Mitras to become state ambassadors for hydro-power development.
Making this appeal during an event to flag off the training for Jal Urja Mitra Skill Development Programme (JSDP), Toko Onuj explained that the training would take place in locations like Sumbachu, Zemithang, Tawang, and other small hydro projects in the region.
He highlighted that the state government recently signed MoUs with power developers, underscoring the significant hydroelectric potential in the state. Obtaining skills through programmes like JSDP would open up job opportunities for the trainees.
During the 45-day training, the selected trainees will gain hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of small hydro projects.
