Jakson Engineers plans Rs 2,000 cr investment to expand solar manufacturing biz

New Delhi: Jakson Engineers, a subsidiary of Jakson Group, announced on Wednesday that it plans to allocate around Rs 2,000 crore towards the growth of its solar manufacturing division. The company statement said that Jakson Engineers Ltd (JEL), a division of the well-known energy and infrastructure conglomerate Jakson Group, revealed a substantial growth in its solar manufacturing business.

As per the announcement, the company intends to invest around Rs 2,000 crore for establishing a 2,500 MW Solar Cell manufacturing plant, to be completed in two stages, while also growing its current solar module manufacturing facility to 2,000 MW. This growth signifies a significant achievement for Jakson Engineers, demonstrating their commitment to addressing the increasing need for solar energy solutions.

Jakson is looking to enhance its manufacturing capacities in order to more effectively cater to its expanding customer base and play a significant role in the worldwide move towards renewable energy. After the expansion plan is finished, it is expected to generate 1,200 new jobs in the area.
