Shillong: The third Block Level Community Interaction Program under CM-CONNECT was held in Betasing, Southwest Garo Hills, on July 25 wherein Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma conducted an interactive session with the public, addressing various grievances.
The CM emphasized the importance of ensuring grassroots schemes and programs reach the people and identifying shortcomings in their implementation, according to officials. He stressed the need for the government to streamline processes and improve overall governance by listening to and connecting with the people.
Various grievances were presented, including power shortages and fluctuations, road conditions, water supply, an incomplete irrigation project, school establishment, and road conditions due to natural calamities.
The CM promised to review the PMGSY and World Bank road projects and tasked the Water Resource department with addressing embankment issues on Bainapara road.
The Chief Minister distributed cheques and inaugurated the Block Integrated Development Complex, Betasing C and RD block. The meeting was attended by several senior officials.
