New Delhi: India is all set to start BRICS Startup Forum in 2023, representing India’s effort to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and networking among startups, investors, incubators and emerging entrepreneurs within the BRICS nations.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced the forum during the 7th BRICS Industry Ministers’ meeting in South Africa.
Goyal highlighted the significant transformation that India has undergone, particularly focusing on the growth of the Startup India initiative. This initiative has played a role in the establishment of nearly 100,000 startups in India.
Goyal also emphasised the concept of ‘Transforming Production Systems’, wherein India aims to support other BRICS countries and the wider global community.
Goyal reiterated India’s commitment to the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which reflects India’s dedication to being a responsible global citizen and working towards a more inclusive, tolerant, and interconnected world.
