New Delhi: India has exported its first shipment of fig juice to Poland, the commerce ministry announced on Saturday. This move is part of the country's efforts to increase exports of unique agricultural products.

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) facilitated the export of this ready-to-drink fig juice, which is made from Purandar Figs, a product with a Geographical Indication (GI) tag.

The GI tag provides legal protection to the product, preventing unauthorized use and promoting its export potential. The successful shipment highlights the growing demand and potential of Indian agricultural products in global markets.
