Mumbai: Mukesh and Nita Ambani are gearing up to host the second round of pre-wedding festivities for their son Anant Ambani and his fiancee Radhika Merchant.
Following their initial celebrations in Gujarat's Jamnagar, the upcoming event is scheduled to take place in Italy from May 29 to June 1, promising another extravaganza of luxury and grandeur. The event has been named ‘La Vita E Un Viaggio’ which when translated into English means ‘Life Is A Journey’.The celebrations will take place on a luxury cruise.
Reports stated that around 800 guests will attend the event. The luxury cruise in Europe will sail for a picturesque 4,380-kilometre journey from Italy to the south of France and back.
The celebration will start with a welcome lunch, followed by a 'Starry Night' themed evening gala on 29 May. The guests will land in Rome for a tourists' day out on 31 May and they will land in Cannes for a masquerade bash on 31 May.
A host of global icons graced the first pre-wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The list of guests included Grammy award-winning singer Rihanna, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, popular Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, etc.
Rihanna charged somewhere between $8-$9 million (Rs 66 to 74 crore) for her performance at the event, according to a report in India Today. Overall, the Ambanis spent a staggering £120 million (approximately Rs 1259 crore) for the event.
The wedding is set to take place July 10 to 12, reportedly at the Ambanis' Stoke Park Estate near London.
