Guwahati: Minister Bimal Borah Reviews Advantage Assam 2.0 Preparedness In Key Meeting

Preparations for the Advantage Assam 2.0 have been reviewed during a key meeting chaired by Bimal Borah, the Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Public Enterprise (IC&PE), on Thursday in Guwahati.

The summit scheduled for February 24 and 25, 2025, aims to position Assam as a profitable investment destination under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Operational logistics, hospitality requirements, partnership engagements and plans to promote the event through theme-based road shows in other states, were discussed during the meeting. The state is also planning outreach events outside India and ways to engage stakeholders and ensure a seamless execution of the summit.

With over Rs 39,000 crore investments already flowing into the state, Advantage Assam 2.0 aims to boost Assam’s growth trajectory and attract more investors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely grace the event, signifying its importance to the nation.

Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota, Special Director General of Assam Police Harmit Singh, senior officials from the Department of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises, and other dignitaries were part of the meeting, per a release.
