During the unveiling ceremony, Business North East (BNE) spoke to IGP Assam Police, Partha Sarathi Mahanta, who praised the initiative for its innovative approach to promoting football in Assam.

IGP Partha Sarathi Mahanta said, "This tournament is a remarkable effort to identify talent, motivate clubs and organising funds for them."

Partha Sarathi Mahanta emphasized that the Guwahati Premier Football League  is not just about competition but also about reviving the passion for sports among athletes who had shifted focus after joining government services.
