California: Google is gearing up to launch the latest iteration of its Pixel series, with the new devices debuting on August 13 at the annual 'Made By Google' event. The tech giant will introduce four models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The event, hosted at Google's Mount View Campus in California, will also see the unveiling of the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. PT and will be live-streamed on Google's main website and YouTube channel.
Notably, this year's event is happening ahead of Apple's usual September iPhone launch, marking a first for Google.
The eagerly anticipated Pixel 9 is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch display and will be available in four colors: black, light grey, porcelain, and pink. It’s expected to include a new Sony IMX858 ultra-wide-angle camera sensor with a larger aperture, replacing the current Sony IMX386 sensor. Additionally, the front camera is likely to have autofocus capabilities.
Powered by the new Tensor G4 chipset and offering up to 12GB of RAM, the Pixel 9 is expected to be priced between $599 and $799 (approximately Rs 49,000 to Rs 65,000) in the U.S
