FINER Organizes MSME summit on International Cooperation in Agartala

Agartala: The Tripura Chapter of Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER), under the aegis of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, successfully organized the "Summit of MSMEs in NER for International Cooperation" on June 9, 2023.

The event took place at Pragna Bhawan in Agartala, Tripura, and brought together industry experts and stakeholders from various countries to explore collaboration opportunities in different sectors.

FINER officials in Guwahati informed Business Northeast that the Chief Guest for the summit was Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports, Social Welfare, Education and Labour, Government of Tripura Tinku Roy.

Prominent speakers from different countries shared their insights and expertise in specific areas of interest.

Abu Bakar and Abdul Rahman from the Westwood Group of Malaysia enlightened the audience on Agarwood processing and production, highlighting the potential for collaboration and knowledge exchange in this sector.

Thinley Jamtsho, Chair of the Tourism, Hotel, Restaurant, and Bar Association, addressed the audience on the promising opportunities in the tourism sector.

His presentation shed light on the significance of the tourism industry and the potential for partnerships in promoting tourism in the North Eastern Region.

Robiul Karim, Managing Director of The Investor Limited of Bangladesh, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of cooperation between Tripura and Bangladesh. He shared insights on potential areas of collaboration and the mutual benefits that can be derived from stronger economic ties.

Soaib Mridha of Bangladesh discussed the import and export opportunities between India and Bangladesh, providing valuable information on leveraging these opportunities to expand business horizons.

Lastly, Shansankh Tripathi from Adya Universal of Bangladesh shared valuable knowledge on agar processing, shedding light on the techniques and advancements in this industry.

The MSME summit aimed to foster partnerships, explore trade opportunities, and encourage knowledge sharing, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of the MSME sector in the North Eastern Region.
