Entrepreneurs pay tribute to late visionary industrialist in Guwahati

Former chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata, who recently left for his heavenly abode on October 9, 2024, was not only an iconic industrialist but also a visionary philanthropist, whose contributions have left an indelible mark on society and the Indian economy in terms of business. The entire country is setill in a state of shock on his sudden death and tributes are pouring in to honor him. 

Business North East (BNE) has learned that a program was arranged to pay a tribute to Ratan Tata's legacy and celebrate his remarkable achievements in the field of business. The ceremony was held by Byatikram Masdo in collaboration with some prominent entrepreneurs in Guwahati, Assam.

During an interview with BNE, Gopal Jalan, Founder and Director of Jalan Bros India Private Limited (JB's), stated, "It is a significant loss for the business community. Late Ratan Tata was not only an entrepreneur but also a dedicated social worker. His contributions to Assam are immeasurable, and projects like the semiconductor initiative will ensure he is remembered."

Dr. Soumen Bharatiya, President and Founder of the Byatikram Group, also said, "India had a great leader in Late Ratan Tata. This tribute reflects his immense contributions to India, the Northeast, and Assam."

Jayanta Das, Area Director for North East, Darjeeling, Bhutan, and Nepal at IHCL, was present with his team and shared his experiences working with Late Ratan Tata during his speech. According to the entrepreneur, this tribute will serve as a heartfelt acknowledgment of a leader whose vision and commitment to social betterment will continue to inspire many generations to come. 

Ratan Tata is widely admired for his values-driven leadership. His focus on ethical business practices has helped maintain Tata’s strong reputation in India and abroad. His contributions have not only helped the Tata Group grow but also had a lasting impact on India’s industrial and economic landscape, making Ratan Tata one of the highly respected figures in global business.
