Devyani International Q1 profit at Rs 224 cr

New Delhi: Devyani International Ltd, which manages Pizza Hut, KFC, and Costa Coffee outlets, has announced a profit of Rs 224.30 crore for the June quarter FY25 with the aid of marketing initiatives and special promotions.

The QSR operator, promoted by the Jaipuria family, disclosed a loss of Rs 1.59 crore in the April-June FY24 period in a regulatory filing on Monday. The revenue generated from operations during the quarter was Rs 1,221.90 crore, compared to Rs 846.63 crore in the same period last year. According to a company's earnings statement, the consolidated EBITDA for the quarter was Rs 220 crore, with a margin of 18.3 percent - representing a 1.7 percent increase from the previous quarter.

Total costs rose by 42.9 per cent to Rs 1,201.28 crore in the June quarter. DIL stated that they opened 54 stores in order to reach consumers in markets where they are not well represented. DlL's store count increases to 1,836 with this new addition as of June 30, 2024. The company plans to open 250-275 more stores in FY25. DIL, which also operates the South Indian vegetarian food QSR chain Vaango, is on course to achieve its goal of having 2,000 stores in its brand portfolio by the end of the current financial year.

The company remains committed to providing consumers with value-driven choices to navigate market changes and spur growth. It was stated that the company utilized creative marketing strategies and special promotions for all its brands to take advantage of seasonal trends.

 

During the June quarter, DIL launched 20 additional KFC restaurants, bringing the overall total to 617. Pizza Hut increased its presence in India by opening 15 new stores, bringing the total number to 570. It increased its number of Costa Coffee stores by 11, reaching by June's end.
