Singapore: The Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Young Indians (Yi) has inaugurated its first overseas chapter, Singapore Young Indians, marking a milestone in promoting youth leadership and strengthening India-Singapore ties.
The new chapter aims to unite the Indian-origin youth diaspora in Singapore, encouraging collaboration with CII Yi members to explore opportunities across diverse fields, National Chairman of Yi Vishal Agarwalla said.
“This expansion is not just about extending Yi’s reach but reflects the growing partnership between India and Singapore. Through this initiative, we aspire to foster leadership, motivate young individuals, and enable meaningful collaboration,” Vishal Agarwalla further stated.

Darius F Forbes, Director of Forbes Marshall International Pte Ltd, will chair the Singapore chapter, with Mohammed Irshad, Head of Corporate Affairs (ASEAN) at Tata Consultancy Services, serving as co-chair.

Established in 2002, Yi provides a dynamic platform for young Indians to contribute to the vision of a developed India while cultivating responsible citizenship. With over 7,000 direct members across 70 city chapters and engagement with more than 400,000 students nationwide, Yi continues to expand its reach globally.
The Singapore chapter highlights the growing synergy between the two nations, paving the way for youth-driven innovation and cooperation in the years ahead.
