Singapore's Changi Airport has once again been named the World’s Best Airport, securing the prestigious title for a record 13th time at the World Airport Awards 2025, held in Madrid on April 9. The results were announced by Skytrax on Thursday as per the Tribune.
This latest honour reaffirms Changi’s global standing in delivering exceptional passenger experiences. It previously won the top spot multiple times since the inception of the awards in 2000. In the latest rankings, Doha’s Hamad International Airport, a three-time winner, was placed second, while Tokyo’s Haneda Airport secured the third position.
The World Airport Awards are based on the World Airport Survey, which gathered feedback from travellers of over 100 nationalities between August 2024 and February 2025. The survey evaluated over 565 airports worldwide, focusing on aspects like check-in, arrivals, security, shopping options, and gate experiences.
Yam Kum Weng, CEO of Changi Airport Group, expressed gratitude to travellers for their continued trust.
“We’re deeply honoured by this recognition and thankful to our passengers. This award truly belongs to the Changi Airport community, whose dedication to service excellence makes such achievements possible,” he said.
In addition to the top award, Changi Airport dominated several categories, winning titles for the World’s Best Airport Dining, World’s Best Airport Washrooms, and Best Airport in Asia.

The Crowne Plaza Changi Airport also shone at the event, being named the World’s Best Airport Hotel and Best Airport Hotel in Asia.
Meanwhile, Hamad International Airport in Doha took home accolades for World’s Best Airport Shopping and Best Airport in the Middle East.
Tokyo Haneda Airport stood out for its cleanliness and accessibility, winning awards for the World’s Cleanest Airport (Major Airport), World’s Best Domestic Airport, and Best PRM & Accessible Facilities.
The global top five was completed by Incheon International Airport in South Korea and Narita International Airport in Japan.
Other regional winners included Rome Fiumicino Airport (Best Airport in Southern Europe), Helsinki Vantaa Airport(Best in Northern Europe), and Budapest Airport (Best in Eastern Europe). Delhi International Airport retained its crown as the Best Airport in India & South Asia.
The awards continue to be a global benchmark for airport excellence, reflecting the voices of millions of travellers worldwide.
