New Delhi: The central government has released an additional Rs 1,39,750 crore installment of tax devolution to states for the financial year 2024-25 until June 10.
This amount, in addition to the regular release for June 2024, will enable state governments to accelerate development and capital spending.
The Interim Budget 2024-25 provides Rs. 12,19,783 crore towards tax devolution to states, totaling Rs. 2,79,500 crore for FY 2024-25 until June 10.
Among Northeast Indian states, Assam has been allocated the highest amount (Rs 4,761 crore).
