Assam-based Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited- received an order worth Rs 177.45 crores for major upgradation of Gandhinagar Railway Station of Jaipur division of North Western Railway through engineering, procurement, and construction.
“With the reference of the captioned subject, M/s Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited received an order in the Joint Venture name M/s JCC INFRAPROJECTS BIL JV of a total amount Rs. 177.45 Crores in case of Tender No. NWR-SC-EPC-GADJ-T-921 for major upgradation of Gandhinagar (Jaipur) Railway Station of Jaipur Division of North Western Railway through Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC),” the company said in a filing to the stock exchange.
Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of BCL got the Order for the Construction of the prestigious New State Secretariat Complex at Dispur, Assam worth Rs.853 Million. This is the 'seat of power' of the Assam Government.
The company also executed Hydro Electric Power Project at Subansiri. This is the largest Hydel Power House with an installed capacity of 2000 MW, being built by Larsen & Toubro.
BCL is executing a part of the project as a subcontractor with approval from NHPC.
The work involved the excavation of rock by excavating a hill from a height of 200 meters to zero level with 15 numbers of benches and extensive drilling and blasting. The final formation level was 30 Meters below the level of the river.
BCL is also developing a Private Industrial Park as per International Standard on 586.67 Bighas [122.50 acres (approx.)] acquired by it near NH31, Guwahati. Brahmaputra Industrial Park is the first and only private Industrial Park to be developed in North-East.
The Park is being developed as per International Standards and when completed, will boast of- providing a world-class industrial enclave with Roads, civic amenities, power with reliability, and a facilitation center for production and other business outlets of different sizes.
It would be an Industrial Hub and ultimate destination for the entrepreneurs for the State of Assam and its neighbouring states, the company said in a statement.
