"The collaboration between FC TecNrgy and Assam Petrochemicals is expected to greatly benefit both companies by entering the rapidly growing methanol fuel cell market, driven by India's efforts to reduce carbon emissions as part of COP26 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2070," the announcement mentioned. Methanol is generated by directly combining carbon monoxide gas and hydrogen with the help of a catalyst. Additionally, syngas, which is a blend of hydrogen and carbon monoxide obtained from biomass, is utilized in the production of methanol. It is utilized as a substitute fuel in cars, boats, and electricity production.
