Guwahati: Two river ports, Pandu and Dhubri, situated along the Brahmaputra River in Assam, have recently undergone privatization

These ports have been leased to A to Z Exim Private Limited, a private company, for a duration of five years.

An official agreement was signed between the company and the Union Ministry of Ports and Shipping to facilitate this arrangement.

A to Z Exim Private Limited has already commenced operations at the Dhubri port in Assam as of August 25.

Furthermore, they are scheduled to initiate operations at the Pandu port in Guwahati, Assam, on September 6. Both Pandu and Dhubri ports hold significant importance in both domestic and international trade.

It is worth noting that the government had previously leased the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati, Assam, to the Adani group.
