California: Apple has officially introduced a new iPad mini, marking the first update to its compact tablet since 2021. Announced on Tuesday, the refreshed iPad mini comes equipped with the A17 Pro chip, the same powerful processor found in last year’s iPhone 15 Pro. This new chip enhances performance and enables support for Apple Intelligence, the company’s upcoming suite of artificial intelligence features that will gradually roll out to users starting this month.
The new iPad mini’s release follows strong growth in Apple’s iPad segment, which saw a 24 percent year-over-year increase during the company’s fiscal third quarter. The surge was driven by the introduction of several new iPads earlier this year, fueling renewed consumer interest in the tablet lineup.
Apple's iPad mini supports latest Apple Pencil Pro
Known for its portability, the iPad mini has developed a loyal fanbase, especially among users who prefer its 8.3-inch display for reading and note-taking. It also supports the latest Apple Pencil Pro, which was launched alongside the iPad Pro models earlier this year, making it a versatile tool for creative professionals and students alike.
Priced at Rs. 41,951, the new iPad mini is available for pre-order now and will be available in stores starting October 23. Apple’s latest offering continues its tradition of blending compact design with powerful technology, appealing to those who prioritize convenience and functionality in a smaller device.
