Imphal: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate several projects in Manipur on Friday and lay foundation stones for some projects.
The Home Minister was welcomed at Imphal airport by Chief Minister N Biren Singh and others on Thursday night.
As the projects to be inaugurated including Churachandpur medical college, Polo statue, Olympian park in different districts the Home Minister will travel by air.
No fly zone was declared in most parts of the state and use of drones and other flying objects were banned for the day.
Security personnel were positioned in strategic locations and vehicular movements were restricted near the places Amit Shah will be visiting.
