New Delhi: Amazon, the retail giant, has announced plans to invest over $100 billion over the next 10 years in expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure over the next decade. Recently, Amazon became the fifth US company to reach $2 trillion in market value.
As per reports, by expanding its data centers, Amazon aims to become a top platform for AI development. Reportedly, the expansion of data centers is part of Amazon's broader ambition to establish itself as the leading platform for AI development.
According to reports, the Seattle company anticipates generating tens of billions of dollars in AI revenue in the coming years. The global AI market, according to research firm Statista, is projected to reach over $84 billion by 2024 and is expected to surpass $826 billion by 2030.
This rapid growth is attributed to the increasing adoption of AI across various industries, improved infrastructure, and greater investment in AI research and development.
Notably, Amazon's investment in AI is expected to strengthen its market position and unlock new growth opportunities, aligning with the expanding global AI market.
