Panaji: Almost 300 representatives from 50 different nations will attend the upcoming Amazing Goa Global Business (AGGB) 2024 event taking place near Panaji from November 8-10. Arman Bankley, President of Vibrant Goa Foundation, stated that the summit, organized in partnership with the Goa government, will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and will serve as a forum for exchanging "ideas and resources." Bankley announced during a press conference in Panaji that 307 delegates from 51 countries will attend the summit, with 200 MSMEs displaying their goods and services, as well as B2B meetings and knowledge sessions.
During the press conference, Suresh Prabhu, the ex-Union minister, mentioned that the Amazing Goa Global Business 2024 summit, for which he serves as Chairman of the Board of Advisors, will showcase new technology like machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and more. He explained that typically, each state competes with one another to attract investments, fostering a positive environment. Prabhu stated that this summit has become more successful due to increased efforts to engage the local community. The ex-union minister stated that the conference is sending a strong signal that Goa is against industries that harm the environment, but is open to investment that enriches the state's lively culture. He stated that Goa is a popular destination, but cautioned against overcrowding the state with too many people and things.

In relation to balancing environment and development, Prabhu mentioned advising Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on conducting carrying capacity for Goa. Goa's geographical area is distributed among forests, wetlands, and other environmentally sensitive zones. He emphasized the need for a scientific study to determine the carrying capacity. Prabhu also mentioned the importance of consulting with locals before implementing any development initiatives. He mentioned that the key essence of the Amazing Goa summit is the participation of locals. Chairman of Vibrant Goa Foundation, Rajkumar Kamat, stated that the summit will feature both knowledge sessions and opportunities for interaction between delegates and participants. Manoj Patil, Vice President of Vibrant Goa Foundation, mentioned that the youth will gain industry experience and engage with experts and industrialists at the summit.
