Guwahati: Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Assam Gas Company Limited (AGCL) to form a Joint Venture Limited (JVL) Company.
Talking about the share take, 51% will be on AGCL's hand & 49% is OIL’s share, with a mandate to build local Natural Gas Grids, Setup & run CNG Stations & provide Domestic & Commercial Piped Natural Gas connections in 6 districts including Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Darrang, Udalguri, Sonitpur and Biswanath Chariali in Assam and others from Tripura.
The JV was signed by the Managing Director, AGCL & ED (PLS) OIL in the presence of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, GoA Ministers, Bimal Borah, Jayanta Malla, Dr Ranjit Rath; CMD OIL, Bolin Chetia, Chairman-AGCL, BJ Phukan, MD-NRL & other senior officials of Assam government, OIL & AGCL.
