Radhakishan Damani sells VST Industries shares for over Rs 4 crore

New Delhi: Radhakishan Damani, the creator and supporter of DMart, sold shares of VST Industries worth over Rs 4 crore to investors such as Reliance Mutual Fund in an open market deal on Thursday. As per the bulk deal information on the NSE, Damani sold 1 lakh shares, representing 0.65 pc ownership in VST Industries.

The stocks were sold for an average of Rs 439.05 each, resulting in a total deal worth Rs 4.39 crore. Following the sale of shares, Damani now owns 2.82 percent of VST Industries, down from 3.47 percent. Information about other sellers of VST Industries' shares could not be found on the NSE. In the meantime, Reliance Mutual Fund and Thrift Savings Plan purchased 1,68,970 shares of VST Industries, constituting a 1.09 pc ownership, at prices between Rs 439.96-440.74 each, totaling Rs 7.44 crore in transaction value.

Thrift Savings Plan is a retirement savings plan for US government workers and military personnel. On Tuesday, Damani offloaded 1 lakh shares, representing a 0.64 per cent holding in VST Industries, for Rs 4.39 crore through a bulk transaction.
