Dassault, renowned for its Rafale fighter jets, is embarking on a significant venture in Assam that, while unrelated to its defense manufacturing prowess, promises to be transformative. The Assam state cabinet has greenlit a proposal to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) aimed at imparting domain-specific skills to engineering and science students, as well as upskilling employees in various high-demand sectors, including Aerospace and Defence, Automotive, and Electric Vehicle Industries.

Dassault Systèmes India Private Limited is set to invest Rs. 200 crores in this ambitious initiative. This substantial investment will fund the creation of the CoE and cover external monitoring, advisory, and implementation support to ensure the project's success and sustainability.

The primary objective of the Centre of Excellence is to bridge the skills gap in Assam's workforce, providing students and employees with advanced technical knowledge and practical skills. The initiative aims to train 3,000 engineering graduates in cutting-edge technologies such as Robotics, Aerospace, Defence, and Artificial Intelligence. This training is expected to significantly enhance their employability and position Assam as a burgeoning hub for high-tech industries.

To achieve these goals, Dassault Systèmes India Private Limited will collaborate with educational institutions and industry partners to create a robust ecosystem for innovation and skill development. This collaboration will include the establishment of state-of-the-art laboratories, the implementation of specialized training programs, and the development of industry-relevant curricula tailored to the evolving needs of the Aerospace, Automotive, and Electric Vehicle sectors.

By fostering a skilled workforce in these critical areas, the CoE is anticipated to attract further investments and drive economic growth in Assam. This initiative aligns with the state's vision of becoming a leader in technology and industrial development, ultimately contributing to the region's socio-economic progress.
